Author Spotlight #1: In His Hands

Ellen S. published/printed a book this past December called In His Hands. Now she is putting it up, chapter by chapter, on her brand-new blog, Ellen's Musings. (Her blog is on the right sidebar with all of yours). Read along as she posts chapters from her new book. I have the links for chapters 1 and 2, but you'll just have to check back on Ellen's Musings for more. She specifically would like feedback on how to improve, or any thoughts on her chapters. (I heard a rumor that she gifted this first book to her mother for Christmas.)

And here's the good news! I'd like to start an Author Spotlight category, so if any of you are writing stories and/or novels on your personal blog, or if you have stories posted there, email me at, along with a link to your stories, and I will feature your blog and stories in a special post under the heading "Author Spotlight." In other words, you don't just have to write Andi fan fiction to draw readers to your stories.

I think this could be the start of something way fun. And a way to critique each other's work in a more general sense, as well as visiting each others' blogs. Hope to hear from you soon!

  1. This is such a neat idea Mrs. Marlow!

  2. This is super cool, Ellen! You've already published a book? Good for you! I, too, love writing.

    1. Thanks, Martha! Yes, I have published a book. It's a short, 10,000 word novel that I published using Super fun!
I can tell you love writing; you're super good at it, too :-). I have noticed how extremely well-written your comments have been and continue to be. Keep it up, girl! God has big plans for you :-).
I can't wait to read one of your stories. Did you enter Mrs. Marlow's story-writing contest?

    2. Thanks, Ellen! Yep, I sure did enter -well, I'm GOING to enter- the contest. Haven't quite sent 'em in yet, though. Yikes! I have 3 days left! I'm planning on entering in two for the first time. Did you enter? And, if you don't terribly mind my asking, how old are you? I'm merely curious. :)

    3. Oh, also, thanks for the tip. I'll keep in mind . .

  3. This is awesome! :D

  4. I love this idea, Mrs. Marlow!

Let Andi know what you think!
