Andi's Journal--No, not Part 2

Okay, all you loyal readers. I've gotten quite a bit of flack (which doesn't bother me) because I cut the Baby Prescott post off at a cliff hanger (next Monday is the conclusion, so it is a 2-part post). I replied in a comment my reasoning behind this, but I figured I should probably make it a little more public. I'm fine with posting the entire thing (I'll post it tomorrow if you like), but then you will not get an Andi's Journal next Monday, nor probably not the Monday afterward either.

I cut the posts up to allow me to actually be able to post something once a week. I can't prepare the Andi's Journals posts any faster. I'm already behind for some of the upcoming ones. But I want you to enjoy the Journal posts, and if they stress you out because of cliff hangers, I'm willing to change.

So, tell me your pleasure, and I'm happy to comply. Would you prefer a consistent Andi's Journal post every Monday, even if it means cutting it up (like the 4-part Jasper lamb story), or would you prefer one long, complete post once a month? (Or whenever I get a full story finished?)

You all can vote in the comments and let me know.

What's your pleasure?

  1. Waiting for the next part and dealing with cliffhangers doesn't bother me. :) I understand what its like to try to keep up with 'blog stories' on top of other projects!

  2. I'm fine with whatever everybody else decides on. I just like to have a dramatic moan over the cliffhangers.

  3. I vote for you to do what causes you the least stress. Patience is a virtue--if weeklies are better for you, then we can wait. Smile. Colleen

  5. Cliff-hangers don't bother me that much, honestly, and I like being able to look forward to a Monday post. I vote to keep Andi's journal on Mondays consistently. A week isn't a very long time to wait at all, actually. It's not a big deal, in my opinion. :)

  6. So far, you guys are voting 100%, but it's been only an hour since I posted. We shall see how it turns out in another day or two. But I'm with you. I look back and am glad there were 3 years between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (yes, I had to wait for the originals!). How I moaned and groaned. I could hardly stand to wait and find out if Han Solo survived the carbonite! Now I'm glad. The worst thing I ever did was read the novelization of Return of the Jedi before the movie came out. I missed out on the dramatic surprise of Luke and Leia being twins. *sound dumb now for all of you, I bet*

But honestly, I wish I had been patient and seen the movie before reading the book. But I'm glad I had something to look forward to for 3 years.

YOU ONLY HAVE ONE WEEK. *laughing*

  7. To be honest, I like it when it is cut into parts! 😂 Then I have something to look forward to! Like Emily said, I like to have a dramatic moan over the cliffhangers. 😬😊 I’d much rather have it every Monday! (If that’s ok)

  8. I think I prefer once a week. Even if you leave it off at a cliffhanger, it's still consistently every Monday. Instead of having the whole story once a month. Even though I don't li,e cliffhangers, I like lookingforward to a post once a week:)

    1. I like it weekly (like I said earlier), but I wouldn't mind if the Baby Prescott story was posted at the same time Since that was such a suspenseful cliffhanger:)

    2. I mean, I think most people don't MIND breaking the stories up, but what are cliffhangers there for if you can't complain!

  18. Yes, I like the weekly option the best, because of something to look forward to. Sometimes cliffhangers are "annoying", but they are a great part of these journal posts. :) Thanks, Mae

  21. I agree with weekly - maybe we all *thought* we wanted it all at once and suddenly realized we really didn't... Or maybe it's just because, as Emily said, we all like to be super dramatic. After all a writer loves it when the readers become somewhat dramatic after reading her stories, right? ;)

  22. Well! You have all been heard. I'll just consider everybody drama queens, eh? :-)
I'll keep posting them weekly. Glad to get your blood moving and get your excitement up!
