The Last Ride . . . super early!

The Last Ride came yesterday! If you would like to get a copy for $9.99, I'm running a special of FREE SHIPPING until the end of this month (January 31).

You can go to the Circle C Milestones website to order your advanced copy, and I'll drop it at the post office on my way to church on Sunday.

I think this cover is my favorite so far. It looks so bright and cheery, even better than this cover graphic.

Tell all your friends!

    1. It should be. The others are on Kindle.
But not until the release date of February 27, so you'll have a little wait. :-)

  7. I'm sort of saving out to buy these books from you personally. ;) Are you coming to the Christian Heritage Conference this year in Redmond, WA?

    1. I accidentally "replied" with an email. Oops. Did you get it, by any chance? It showed it went to you. Well, anyway, here is what I wrote:

      Sorry, Rebekah,
We will be in the Midwest this year the weekend of the Christian heritage convention. Too bad, too. My dd and family are going, and she told me Paul washer is the speaker. I would really like to hear him in person. Too late. I'm already committed to the one in. . . I think that weekend is Wichita. Then we come home. We are gone back there all of April.

You may be waiting a long time to catch me in person. I might be at the WHO in 2017, but April is a big convention month and I can attend many of them in a row back east. The Christian heritage is one by itself, with no other conventions out here in the west either before or after it, so it makes it hard if I want to attend others in a row. Hope that makes sense.

    2. Are you coming to the Cincinnati homeschool convention?

    3. Yes, Krystal Sky, I am.
Funny! My daughter lives on "Krystal Skye Drive" in Ellensburg, WA. Their landlords named the road after their DD of the same name. :-)

    4. Hey, that's neat! Looking forward to seeing you at the Cincy conference!

    5. Are you coming to the CHAP convention this year?

    6. You are the second person who has asked me that. LOL
No, the farthest east I am going is the GHC in Cincy. I'm thinking 2017 is my "year to return" to the East Coast.

    7. You need to come to GHC in Greenville, SC, Mrs. M. *wink, wink*

    8. Maybe 2017? When is it? And . .. I sent your book today, Faith, along with about 30+ other orders! My author copies are nearly depleted. Wow. What a huge response.

Hope y'all don't cry when you read it.

    9. Um, it's usually in March or April. :) Yay!!! Wow, that is a lot.

From what I'm suspecting...I plan to cry when I read it. :-(

    10. Gonna miss you at CHAP. :( Guess I'll just have to dig around and see if any vendors have The Last Ride. Last year I managed to snag a copy of Tales from Circle C Ranch around 9am Friday morning (the only one the vendor had!), and I didn't see it anywhere else. Didn't grab Thick as Thieves though, so ended up waiting several months to read it. :(

  9. Does the free shipping apply to Canada?

    1. My website won't accept any Canadian (or other foreign) payments, so I can't ship to Canada. On the website, however, there is a link to AMAZON CANADA where you can pre-order the book. You'll just get it a little later than the rest of us. So sorry!

  10. YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Already ordered, can't wait to read it :-D

  11. Does the free shipping offer apply only to The Last Ride, or can I order both it and the extended edition of Long Ride Home shipped free?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm afraid it only applies to the new, limited-time Last Ride special. If you add LRH expanded to the cart, PayPal will automatically charge shipping for that item only.

But that's better than buying them both once the shipping is back on Last Ride. Then you would be charged shipping for both items. YIKES!

The reason? Because I am not a very good "techy" when it comes to managing the PayPal buttons. I give really good shipping rates for individual books or "sets" but haven't figured out how to make it work if folks buy different books. It adds up fast. PayPal even has a "tax" space, but I never fill it out, so nobody ever has to pay TAX on any of my books (from me). :-)

    4. We also love going to the Lake in the summer(and the winter). :) I live on the State side in the town closest to the border. (Not sure how often you come this way, but when you first start getting into town coming from the south, we're right next to the Church with the reletively new red roof.)

    1. Aw . . . my sister cried a lot when she read only that one scene maybe 15 years ago (when I first got the idea and went straight to the "scene" to write it.

And get this: my editor at kregel said she cried too, and that is embarrassing when you're sitting at a desk in an office with people all around.

Wow, I made my editor cry. That is like . . . so cool.

You will have to read book 4, where things are very scary, but not sad. And a really, really, really happy ending. :-)

    2. Yep, Mrs. M, making your editor cry is super cool. ;)

My copy has been delayed by all the snow in the eastern US...and these comments of crying through the book are making me nervous... ;)

I'm super looking forward to the happy ending in book 4!!! *wink*

    3. Oh, Faith! You will love to cry. :-) Because Last Ride ends very happily as well. And I'm SO SORRY you are being delayed. I remember mailing your copy last week . . . FIRST CLASS, so it should be getting there anytime!

    5. I got my copy of The Last Ride on Monday and finished it this morning (because I was trying to ration it out:) I really, really liked it. As much as I have liked all of your books, this is definitely my favorite. It was sad (I can't begin to tell you how many times I cried), but it had a happy ending (which I always consider very important in order for it to be a good book :) Thanks for writing such a great book! Can't wait to read Book 4! :D

P.S. Don't worry about all my crying. I have a tendency to be very easily moved to tears :)

    1. This coming November, so it's not THAT long of a wait. My mother read an electronic, unedited version of book 4 last week (yes, there is an advantage to being my mother, LOL), and she had only one complaint: she wished there were more books after this one.

Well, sorry, Mom, but it is the last one (for now). She just wants Andi's story to keep on going. *sigh*

  18. Hi Mrs.Marlow! I just wanted to let you know how much I loved your new books (just finished reading Thick as Thieves and Heartbreak Trial). It's not often you can tell the actual author how much you enjoyed it, so this is cool! I absolutely loved Heartbreak Trail (RIP special-minor-side-character-who-must-not-be-named-for-sake-of-spoilers) and I can't wait for your new book!

    1. Hey, JT, this is hilarious (RIP, etc.). LOVE IT.
Thanks for your comment. And by the new book, I assume you mean the brand-new The Last Ride?

And then there is one more too. ENJOY!

It's not often I can chat with fans too! You are all the greatest for giving me title suggestions, character suggestions for names (like for the horses, LOL), and even series suggestions. It's so fun!

    2. Haha, it wasn't so funny when I was reading the book! :P I really appreciate you having this blog. It's so neat to be able to have a say in names and the like, plus I love reading behind the scenes for characters! Speaking of which, I would love to read bios on the Circle C cowboys if you have any (they're some of my favorite characters!).

  20. Hey Mrs. Marlow!
I finished "The Last Ride" last night! Wow. I still can't put into words all the feelings that were running through me while I was reading it. Frustration, laughter, sadness, joy. It was amazing! I groaned over Daniel and Andi, I cheered for Mitch at the end of chapter 20. And I did cry. I think I actually shed more tears at the ending than when...ya know. But starting at chapter 25 through the end I was an emotional wreck. ;)
The theme of forgiveness was really deep. I think this is one of the best books you've written this far. :)

Thank you for writing such amazing, good, and clean books, Mrs. M!! I can't wait to read book-4 this fall!!! :-)

  21. Well . .. wow, Faith! That is quite a review. Feel free to tweak and put up on CBD.com and/or Amazon.com when they open it to reviews. I'm totally touched by your words. That's exactly how I was hoping the message would come across.

I think these last two books of the Milestones have been the hardest I've ever written. I've had to depend on God every single day for my "manna" of words. And I am not making that up! Then I read what i wrote and I think, "Oh, wow. Did I really write that?"

I had no idea I was going to end up using Riley and Midnight as the . . . well . . . you know what. That came to me as a gift from God too and it fit perfectly into the whole forgiveness theme.

    Thanks again!

    1. I'll do that! I've already reviewed it on Goodreads. :)

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that. Isn't out God amazing?! :) But, really, it's SOO amazing. I loved it. And it looks so pretty next to "Thick as Thieves" and "Heartbreak Trail"! Purple would be the perfect color for the cover of book-4.

Really? Wow! Yes, it fits so great! That's one thing that I was expecting. I wasn't really thinking about it at first until Midnight was mentioned. But it was SO perfect! I cried more through Riley's retelling of that and Andi forgiving 'them', than anything else. :')
