Titles for the 2016 story-writing contest

Help! You named the contest book last year (and I used the alternate title when I redid the first-year's contest on Amazon). I now need a title for this next year's contest, and I need it in the next two weeks so I can finish revising the Official Contest Rules for 2016. It launches in one short month, September 1.

The titles so far are:
2013: Way Out West: Circle C Stories
2014 - 2015: Beneath the Western Sky
2016: ???

So, please post comments with your title suggestions. I will narrow them down to the top 5 and then I'll put up a poll. They have to be rather generic, since Goldtown readers are also invited to submit stories. I received a couple of good ones last year and am hoping for more this year. So the title can't really be "Circle C" anything.

Happy creating and thank you very much!

  2. First thing that comes to mind- "Tales Among the Sagebrush" or "The Rolling Western Hills".
Mostly comes to mind because I'm thinking about everything that's burning in our state and California. ;) But those are what come to mind...

    2. You assume correctly, but 2013 winners can enter again, if they have jumped up to the next age category. :-)

  12. I have a question, Mrs. M (or anyone who wants to answer) Who is Melinda currently dating? I think i know who it is but I'm not sure.

    1. The word you are looking for (1800s) is "courting," not dating. There was no such thing in those days. With permission from the family, a young man could "call" on a young lady, if the young lady agreed.

Melinda is being courted by Peter Wilson. :-)

    2. will Chad, Mitch, and Melinda get married in the books or will they get married off book?

    3. Well . . . I'm not going to take up book space for weddings, if that's what you are asking. But as you saw in Book 1, Justin was courting Lucy. And in book 2, Heartbreak Trail, he and Lucy are married. So when and if that happens to the other characters, that is how I plan to do it. Except for Book 4, when one of them has an engagement party that goes bad. :-)
