Short-Story Contest Winners!

Finally! What you have all been waiting for!

What a great first contest! Over 80 entries came in from as far away as Canada. The judges read so many excellent stories from ages 6-17 that they had a hard time choosing. Besides the cash and other prizes for First, Second, & Third places, all winners receive a copy of the 14 winning stories compiled into a 144-page paperback book, Circle C Stories.

I hope to make this contest an annual event. If your young writer would like to enjoy more stories about Andi (and see the kinds of stories the judges selected), the Circle C Stories are available for purchase for $6.99 + $2.50 s/h (US orders) by going HERE (This also helps defray the cost of the contest and pay for the prizes and book printing.) There is also a place on the sidebar from where you can order the book. The book has been shipped from the printer, so I hope to have them for shipping by next week!

First-Place Winners:
    ~ Ages 6-9: Gracie Olmstead
    ~ Ages 10-13: Kara Teachman

  3. Congratulations to all the winners! And ALL the writers - your stories were truly fun to run. Some of you might have been THAT CLOSE to winning so don't give up!! Reading the middle group I saw some seriously good writers in there. Keep trying! It's going to be fun to put some names to stories for me. We judges had to read them 'blind.' :)

  9. Congratulations to each of you who completed a story and entered it! And especially to those whose creativity and hard work earned them a place in the winning circles. :)

  10. Congratulations everyone who entered! It takes a lot of work to get a story edited, and it takes guts to let other people read it, much less judge it!
