Countdown to Announcement

Sorry my posts are short and sweet. But do you know how hard it is to be "Andi" while homeschooling and watching eight children? LOL Okay, right now, three are on a walk with Grandpa, one is out with the chickens, and four are diligently working on schoolwork . . . so I have like . . . three minutes!

To answer all your curiosities, yes, I have emailed the winners. Which means *sad sigh* that if you did not receive an email this week then you did not end up being one of the finalists. The good news . . . I will (Lord willing) probably run the contest again next year since it was so fun, and anyone who "won" this year is not eligible to enter again (this gives more authors a chance to place).

I hope to have the books next week some time (end of week?) and then I will put a PayPal button on the sidebar of Andi's blog so you can get a copy of the book if you want one.

    1. Yes, you may! The winners' stories will be posted automatically, but I would LOVE to post the other entries, with your permission. They stories were all great, and I am SO GLAD I was not a judge! It was hard for them to pick. :-)

    1. Oh, well, probably three days or more. But I'm guessing! Maybe it's only 50 miles, which would take two or three days.

    3. I'm in 10th grade and doing geometry. It's actually not that hard: a lot about different shapes, and logic circles and proofs. :)
Yeah, not too difficult, but VERY time consuming! :P

  14. Hey Mrs. M. Did people greet with hugs back then?

    1. Very unlikely. The Victorian age was a time when people kept feelings to themselves . . . especially outside the family. Personal space was honored a LOT (note about the jewelry in the Ladies'/Gentlemen's rules. Nobody reached out to touch it!)

    2. Okay. Did they just say "Hi," or did they shake hands also?
      ~Leah =D

    3. Oh, yes! And tip there hats and nod in passing. And remember? A gentleman with 'Continental' manners often took a lady's hand, raised it and brushed it with a kiss as he bowed. :-)

I hope a story is coming out of all of these questions! :-)
