Breaking News! Circle C Journeys

Drum roll . . . the answer is YES to the new Circle C Journeys series, the continuing adventures of Andi, her family, and her friends. My publisher will be sending me a contract later this week! Thanks for all your support and the grand name you guys thought up for the series. Now, whether they will keep that name or not, I don't know. But the important thing is . . . you are going to get what you have been asking for! Too bad we can't have a party!

Love all your comments. Sorry, I should have told you that I don't know about release dates, but I will let you know when I learn that from reading the contract. :-)

    3. I was joking, it wasn't that hard lol :-), but thanks anyway. Congrats on coming up with the new series name! I'm thirteen and I've homeschooled my whole life.

    1. You mean from Circle C Journeys to something else?
Well, they are paying for everything, so they get to decide the best way things would sell. However, the only thing my publisher has ever changed from what I suggested was the first book, which I had as "Long ROAD Home" and I think they were smart to change it to Long RIDE Home. And . . . THEY thought up Circle C Adventures and Circle C Beginnings. So I would not worry about it too much. :-)

    2. That makes more sense now!

  8. Who did come up with the name Circle C Journeys? Was it someone on this blog? Are you giving them a set of the new series or something for thinking of it?

    1. I can't remember who came up with it. It was like . . . a group effort and I made the final decision. :-)

      But that's a swell idea . . .

    3. Leah, you are an A+ detective. You are totally right. Alicia came up with the first mention of a series title. The next time she shows up in the comments, somebody remind her of this. I will think of something to "thank" her with. Maybe the first book . . .
      thanks, Leah the Detective

  10. So exciting! How wonderful! Congratulations! :D I sure hope one of the boys gets married, like Justin or something. (Let's just hope he has more luck than his look alike on BV. ;D)
This sounds so exciting and fun! I can't wait! Are you going to have these illustrated too or leave them like the other Circle C books? I suppose since Andi will be older most of your readers won't need illustrations... ;D Just curious.
    So exciting! Praise God!

  12. Oh I'm so excited! Can't wait to see what you wrote about.

  13. Have you already written the books????

    ReplyDelete

    1. One is written; book 2 is halfway; just getting ideas for books 3 and 4 :-) I do have summaries that the publisher must have liked. All kinds of scary danger and adventure. A touch of courting. Somewhere. Just enough but it won't bog down the GOOD STUFF. LOL

    2. "A touch of courting...and it won't bog down the GOOD STUFF." I like that...lol!!!

    1. Just like you, I have one done and a working on editing it and I a working on my second one! What age catagory will you be entering? I will be entering the 14-17 age catagory.

  15. I'm in the ten to thirteen catogory, I'm thirteen. I have four potential story ideas, but I can't decided which ones I like. I have a friend who's going to tell me which ones she likes. I know I'm going to send in one comedy and one adventure. How about you?

    1. Sounds like you have some great ideas! I am writing one adventure and one with the Goldtown characters. I got my first one to long because I had started writing it before I knew what the word count was going to be. I had like 5,000 words so I had to narrow it down to 3,600. And you're right! Editing the story takes a while!

    1. I was planning on posting it today, but something is wrong with Blogger and I can't "post" anything nor can I get into my "design" and already written posts. This is like . . . a tragedy!

I can't even get results with "New Post." So I have to wait for Blogger to get back on line, I guess. :-(

  17. Yippee! Now I have another story written!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Will you let the story slide if it is 5,572 words, or do I need to shorten it? That stinks! I hope blogger starts working!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You need to shorten it. Out of consideration for the judges and for the other contestants, entries need to stay within the word count. I can let an extra 100 words slide, but not an extra 2,000. So sorry!

      Delete
    2. Yikes! I meant 2,572! I must have hit the wrong button, sorry. :-)
