A Little Extra Work for You . . .

Can you see my disgust here?
I'm sorry, friends, but instead of being able to jot down a quick "howdy" and click "post your comment," you will now have to put up with some Blogger "verification" in order to post your comment. I know it is an extra pain, and sometimes I even have trouble figuring out exactly what letters and numbers are hiding in the little box. *big sigh*

However, a gazillion (it seems) SPAMMERS have found my site, and you would not believe the dumb things they say. (So I know they are merely robots.) For example, if you saw the post below about my new design, you will know it is pretty short and simple.

But when I get comments like "Wonderful post, but can you give me more information about this subject?" and they leave a link, I know it's SPAM, since the announcement about a new blog design is SO not a "wonderful" post. ROTFL

Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope it will not discourage you from commenting on my posts!

    1. Thanks, Hope! Glad you liked the new book. Guess what? Chad (and his father) are in the next Goldtown book (he-he). Chad is 12. You can go to the Goldtown website and see a picture of a young Chad on the main page, if you want. www.GoldtownAdventures.com

    7. What about this? I will have a contest to give away the WINNER'S choice of any one book I have written from either the Circle C Adventures, Circle C Beginnings, or Goldtown Adventures. Or a set of Paper Dolls. Whatever.

It doesn't cost too much and I just write it off as a business expense under "advertising." I figure that if somebody wins a book and they LIKE it, then they might buy the rest. :-)

Stay tuned. I'll try to get the contest going next week. Are you on my email list for the Ezine, where I announce contests and stuff? Hmmm . . . I should put a sign up box over here on the blog.

    9. Oh, right. The story-writing contest! Yes, after I can slow down on Goldtown I plan to offer that contest. It will be fun, but it's a lot of work to set up and find judges, etc., so that's why I can't do it right now.

An Ezine is an email newsletter that you can get if you sign up for it in the blue box on the sidebar of the blog. I just put it in there so you can sign up is you want.

    1. That would be a lot of fun! Do a lot of older girls (ages 10-12) still like to play with paper dolls? I'm open. :-)

    4. Seriously? That's great! I always LOVED paper dolls, at your age too. I designed clothes, etc. and had hours of fun. Did you see the new poll in the sidebar? I'm asking who else might be interested. :-)
