The draft covers for Circle C Adventures Book 5- Andrea Carter and the Trouble with Treasure are here. You can vote for you favorite cover by leaving a comment. Everyone who leaves a comment will be entered into a random drawing to win a copy of the new book when it is released late next fall. The lucky winner will also receive a small vial of REAL gold flakes. Why gold flakes? Well, Andi's friend Cory gets hold of an old survey map of the mountains, which shows gold diggings. Together with Andi's older brother Mitch, Andi, her new friend Jenny, and Cory head for the hills. But instead of finding gold, they find a heap of trouble!
Take a look at the covers, and then read the "Rules" below to enter:

I like #1, because draws more intention to the book, and it looks like their might be a mystery to the book. The #2 one is too hmm how would I say it...normal or doesn't look interesting.

I like the #2 one because it has Taffy in it and it is far away. The other one is two close up.:)

I like #1 because it depicts looking at a treasure map. I do like having Taffy on the covers as well but I think for the treasure search #1 is fitting. The horses across the top of the cover add a horse element which is good.
Joy was excited to see the covers on my e mail just now. Hopefully she will stop by and vote too. We are both looking forward to reading this book!

I like cover #2 because it makes me think something is going on over there that I need to read about.

I like cover 1 it makes me want to find out what the book is about con5459(at)gmail(dot)com
i like number 2- you need the horse! :)
I like cover 1 best, because the book is called "Trouble With Treasure", and they're looking at a treasure map. (well, I think its a treasure map!)
I got 5 emails about this contest from you last night and then got the e-zine so I figured that maybe I should go enter. LOL!
I'm going to disobey the rules, and hope you still enter me, because I'm not allowed to put our email address on the internet, and you already know how to contact me. :-)
It would be so fun to win that gold!!!!!! Are you only having one winner?
I like cover #1 best. It shows the treasure map which is fitting.
Thank you!

My daughter and I like #2 because "it's pretty" she says :). One note though - did they sell "Lee" brand overalls back then? Might want to photoshop out that label!

I like cover one as well - the fact that it looks like they are looking at a map (or something indicating they are trying to find their way). You probably were leaning towards #1 as well. Congrats on book 5 coming out soon - see you in the postings - E :)

Oh, I'd love to win this for my daughter who has all the books, so far, read cover to cover and now has her friends reading the series, too!
I would vote for Cover #2 because it has the "horse" on the cover! My daughter and her friends are drawn to the series because they LOVE horses and I would think the visual picture of the horse would draw attention to that aspect.

I like the 2nd one because I think the horse adds more interest. Plus the perspective of the pic is better. solta(at)hotmaildotcom

Cover #1! It looks like they're doing something and not staring off into space. :-P And I like Ryan's (er, Cory's) hair better.
~Lyric (You should know my email by now...)
I like the second cover, as it includes the horse and is more inkeeping with the other books! jennyandtheclan@btinternet.com
I like the 2nd cover as well. I love horses :) charron.k@gmail.com
I'm going to be difficult and say it would be nice to combine the two...looking at the map with Taffy some where in the background or looking over their shoulder. I agree that the map is in keeping with the title, but there are so many kids that love horses, I think Taffy needs to be in there. So I'm reluctantly voting for #2...I like it better, but it's a shame the kids couldn't have been looking at the map in #2. You know my email addy so I'm not going to post it publicaly here. Miralee
Definitely #2...I like the map in #1, but how can we have a cover without Taffy???? Keep the books coming (isn't God gooood?) We love Andi.
Leslie
Greetings! My vote goes for the #1 Map.
It tell a bit more about the story line of the book. Many thanks, Cindi
jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
I like them both, but cover #1 matches the title better...I think. I'll just reply to your email about the contest matters.
Jesus loves you! --Micah
I totally agree with Miralee--I was actually going to write almost the exact same thing until I read through the comments first! I like cover 2 better for the picture (I love horses) but the map on cover 1 ties in with the theme of the book. I actually even thought maybe have a treasure chest on the cover (maybe having Andi holding a small one??) which kids would identify with more with'treasure'.
Just curious, on the cover of Family Secret the horse is brown, on SF Smugglers it's tanish color. Which is Taffy, or did someone make a mistake in the color of the horse on one of the covers?
I have to add that I have read all 5 of these books for review and have enjoyed every one. I highly recommend them as wholesome stories for anyone and not just kids.
God bless and Happy Easter.
Susan, I like cover #2 the best. I like it because it has Andi, Taffy, and Cory. Cover #1 just doesn't look that interesting to me because you can't really tell they are looking at a treasure map.
Sorry, I forgot to put an e-mail in the previous post. dceiplis@salemacademy.org

I like cover 2 with the horse. It looks more like an adventure to me. I couldn't tell initially looking at cover 1 that it was a map they were looking at. Both covers are very nice though. Either one is a winner!

Hey my name is Alena Caitlyn Gaddy and my E-mail address is caitlyn98@zoobuh.com! I vote for Cover #2 (Horse)! I think that is the best one! That glitter would be good to use in crafts!
Thanks
Caitlyn
I like #1 (map).

Cover number one! Tina
I definetly would go with number 1, the map cover!! I love it and it fits the title best to me!
jls_wss2003 at yahoo dot com
#2, the first one is too close. The horse makes a great add!
KawaiiNeko2008 at aol dot com
At first, I liked #1, but if you hadn't told me it was a map, I wouldn't have known what they were looking at. My kids picked the one with the horse, so our vote is for Taffy! whispar5@sbcglobal.net
Well...I have to pick the cover with the horse for my daughter. Any book with a horse on the cover is a good book in her opinion.
I'm voting for cover 2..it just seems more appealing to me
jdmimi at gmail dot com
I like the second one the best, because it includes the horse and you can see the character's faces, and they just look more friendly!
onlycancan ta hotmail tod com
I choose the first cover because: 1. They are looking at a treasure/survey map (which is in the book). 2. Andi and Cory look like they're in the middle of an adventure. I don't like the second cover as much because: 1. It seems irrelevant. 2. Andi and Cory seem to just be relaxing.

I like cover #1 best because it looks like Andi and Cory are doing something and it looks more natural. Cover #2 looks like a pose where they are staring off into the sunet. Thanks.

Hi Andi,
I like cover #1 because they're looking at the map and it looks like they're about to go somewhere. :-D
sunflowerbeth@googlemail.com
Thanks! Bethany
I think #1 is best. #2 is just kind of plain.
And in #1 it looks like they are trying to solve something which also goes along with the title.

From reading all the posts I had to chuckle when I realized even having only 2 choices to choose from is very subjective as I read the comments why people chose as they did.
Have a blessed Easter.
I like horses. I would be drawn to the cover that had a horse on it and in this case, Taffy, because I really like the story line you have created. I would pick cover 2....one could visualize they are all looking "toward" the direction they think the treasure is and with their smiles, kind of a "we found it!" attitude! I would love to have the gold flakes as I have spent and enjoyed learning about History and the early panning days. This will be the closest I ever get to real gold! Bless you for your efforts in this series! Felicia Straley straleyw@msn.com
I like cover #2 because I love horses and if there is a horse on the front then I would be more likely to check the book out. It sounds really cool.

I vote for cover #2. I like it because it has Taffy in it.
Crystal816[at]hotmail[dot]com
We like book cover #2 because all books that have horses in them really need the lovely horse on the front. It entices young readers to pick up the book and check it out. It is an eye catcher for so many...
You may get new readers for that reason alone. I've seen it!
orangenkitty@hotmail.com
#2 Definitely... How can you go wrong with placing a horse on the front of the book, it looks so much more adventurous. I think the first cover looks to personal, too cozy for some readers. It looks more like a love story than a horse story...
khickman@dtccom.net
I really like cover #2 because the horse really catches your eye. It is a beautiful horse. Of course I also agree that possibly incorporating a map into this cover would be good as well.
Thanks!
dbkagrayson2002 at gmail dot com
Definaltely #1 it looks moremysterious and just Draws you In!!!
paso-fino15@q.com
I like #2 best. The second cover is a nice picture of the kids but most of all it has a great horse shot. Kids looking for a story of this style are really drawn by the image of a horse. I don't really care for the drawing of the kids in the first cover.
Rachel said...I like #2 because it has the horse, and you can see their faces.
snjarant@aol.com
I like cover 1 because it matches the title.
gabriellaaross@comcast.net
I have horses of my own but, I would love to have one like Taffy.
I vote for #1 because it makes me want to read the book more than cover #2. It gives a sense of mystery and treasure hunting adventure. It also goes with the title of the book better.
serving_theKingofkings@yahoo.com
I say horse(#2) because it has Taffy in it, and it really looks like Andi and Cory are looking for Adventure.
Danielle
I think cover #2 because it has Taffy in it, and it looks like Andi and Cory are looking for adventure.

I like #1, it looks like they are looking at a map trying to find treasure because the first time they couldn't find it.
I like #2 Because it has Taffy in it.
